The courses discussed in this presentation were designed to give each buyer the added option of our expertise in the area of canine education. From the "cute" and very young Super Pup graduate to the prestigious Grand Victor young adult one would think we have nothing great left to offer, but we do! While we have never been able to come up with a single formal title that gives certain adult Dobes the individual greatness deserved, we do refer to them as "family" both privately and on our videos. The fact is that until we place them these Dobes are treated as if they will always be with us.
As family each will have gone through all steps outlined through the President's Course. Some will also have completed the Grand Victor program and some even the Home Defense Course. All have been kept in an ongoing guidance program. Most will be under two years of age and have taken part in our breeding programs. These are not dogs with gray areas in their lives but Dobes who have spent a year or more under our care as if they were our personal Dobes: Dobes that are "family."
WHY A "FAMILY" DOBE? Those who are already proud owners of these mature "family" companions may have lost theirs and wanted to circumvent adolescence completely or just like the idea of bringing a well-mannered, mature Dobe into their life. Others consider a "family" Dobe when the guest room has instructions on the door on how to get to the tennis court or pool.
We know the average home today is under 2,000 square foot and single level. The fact is you can probably see end to end at some point making it easier for the new canine to master the rules in its new home. But a new canine placed in a multi-level residence and/or a home that represents "affluence" where the master suite alone may be larger than the "average home" is a "whole different ball game." Reality is, the more rooms in the home, the more time that must be taken to adjust the young developing Dobe. Remember to the new arrival the home is the canine version of a maze. Unfortunately this maze also has very specific rules of behavior around every turn. So for a few folks there is only one answer: one of the "family."
Of course we are reminded of the folks who do not want to miss the pup or young adult period and can take the time to be the ongoing educator from whatever point the Dobe is received until the day it understands its responsibilities in its human family's world. Great; we understand. But if you prefer the handsome or beautiful accomplished adult with a year or more experience living in a maze, let's talk about our "family" Dobes.
