Offered to those who would prefer to have us add the fundamental details of the Companion Dog title either to advance the kid's education well past what can be done by any other trainers using the AKC guidelines related to the Companion Dog Obedience title before placement - this is obedience enhancement only competition trainers/handlers have the expertise to add and of course we are Number One in American Kennel Club Obedience competition and have been for the last ten years so don't think some local trainer can be hired after placement with the same result or for a lesser fee.
Pricing for this CDT option is in part based on which of our instructors will be your dogs mentor. Generally the course is 20/30 per cent higher then our listed fees which I will discuss with those interested, privately.
Note: Added experiences such as attending the local dog training club, time on the road gives added travel experiences than with it's trainer as an observer at dog shows when it's trainer is finishing a Grand Victor along with trips to the flea market, park and the like as if the trainer were taking this student all the way to the top help to prepare the 'kid' for the complexities of the human world it is about to enter. These are just a few of the bonuses that are part of the road to the American kennel Club Companion Dog title degree.
Just remember: six to ten weeks of extra guidance during the programs structured for the Super Pup Levels, CYA programs or the 20/26 weeks during the Presidents course are simply part of the stepping stone to title for the CDT only takes the Dobe closer to exclusive Grand Victor Status. The more you have us advance toward the actual Grand Victor program the closer the kid is to the end result, life in our world and the more it has learned about life outside your residence before placement the quicker and easier you get to that great canine we call The American Bred Super Dobe.
Most owners will simply be adding this option for pre-placement experiences along with obedience refinements and have no plans on entering the obedience ring themselves or perhaps are hoping to one day personally take the kid to this very exclusive level of title. 3/05
